(Reuters) – Italy has recorded more than one million coronavirus infections, making it one of the ten most severely affected countries according to Reuters.
The Ministry of Health announced 32,961 new infections and 623 more deaths on Wednesday. A total of 42,953 people died of the virus in Italy, the second highest number in Europe after Great Britain. Worldwide there are still most cases in the USA. In addition to Italy, the ten most affected countries include other European countries: Russia, France, Spain and Great Britain. According to Reuters data, while Europe accounts for only 10 percent of the world’s population, it has nearly a quarter of the 1.2 million deaths worldwide.
