5 Thermomix alternatives
The kitchen all-rounder Thermomix is not a bargain. The kitchen machine costs an impressive 1,300 euros and is therefore a luxury product for many. But others have also recognized that multifunctional kitchen machines are a profitable area for companies and there are more and more alternatives to the famous Thermomix available. These often only cost half, but some have only half the functions. But if you can do without an online connection, app link or an integrated cookbook, you will find suitable kitchen machines with cooking functions from 200 euros. We present five popular Thermomix alternatives that are available for less than 500 euros.
1. Krups Prep & Cook HP5031 Classic
The Krups Prep & Cook is available from 350 euros. This multifunction kitchen machine has six automatic programs and twelve speed levels. There are also 14 different functions, five knife and mixer attachments, as well as a recipe book with 300 cooking ideas, which are also included in the scope of delivery. Compared to the Thermomix, the Prep & Cook does particularly well, as only the integrated scale and internet connection are missing in the equipment. If you don’t want to do without these functions, you can get the more expensive gourmet version of the Krups Prep & Cook with Bluetooth and app connection for around 700 euros.
2. Klarstein GrandPrix
The Klarstein GrandPrix also offers a good and affordable alternative to the Thermomix. The food processor, for example, offers integrated scales, which many customers attach great importance to. However, the Klarstein GrandPrix does not master the full range of Thermomix functions and can only stir, chop, mix, boil and stew. Automatic programs also have to be dispensed with, because all functions are set in the classic way at the push of a button and a setting wheel. However, the inexpensive Klarstein GrandPrix can convince with a price of around 265 euros. It is over 1,000 euros cheaper than the original Thermomix.
3. H.Koenig HKM1032
The H.Koening HKM1032 also offers solid features at a comparatively low price. For 220 euros you get a food processor that covers every classic function of a kitchen machine with a cooking function. In addition to functions such as mixing, chopping, pureeing or kneading dough, the H.Koening HKM1032 can also fry, boil or steam and, thanks to various automatic programs, offers user-friendly operation.
4. Ambiano and Quigg from Aldi
Aldi also offers an alternative to the Thermomix and that in two versions. At Aldi Nord there is regularly a multifunctional kitchen appliance from the Quigg brand, while Aldi Süd offers an identical device under the brand name Ambiano. You can get the discounter’s food processor for a cheap 229 euros and there is almost nothing that the doppelganger cannot do. There are scales and even a WLAN connection including app integration. Almost all other Thermomix functions are also covered with the alternative model. It has eleven speed levels, it stirs and chops as you wish, it can also cook and cook and offers a timer as well as clockwise and counterclockwise rotation. The accessories are also similar to those of the expensive original Thermomix and thus offer a good price-performance ratio.
5. Monsieur Cuisine Connect from Lidl
If Aldi has a Thermomix alternative on offer, then of course Lidl too. With the Monsieur Cuisine Connect, Lidl offers a food processor for 299 euros. This variant is also based on the Thermomix model and has extensive equipment. A 7-inch touch display is built-in, a WLAN connection is possible and there is even a function called CookingPilot. This function offers the possibility, as with the Thermomix, to load recipes onto the device and to be guided through all steps of the cooking or baking process. Typical functions such as weighing, chopping, cooking and cooking are also covered by the food processor and can also convince with the extensive accessories supplied. This Thermomix alternative is in no way inferior to the original.
The presented multifunctional kitchen machines show that it doesn’t always have to be the expensive original. In the meantime, a wide variety of providers offer variants that are particularly convincing with a fair price-performance ratio. Vorwerk also felt this, because the Thermomix recorded dwindling demand compared to previous years and most recently closed the German location in Wuppertal.
