FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – The Dax (DAX 30) should start the week with a moderate increase in its recent gains. One hour before the start, the X-Dax signaled an increase of 0.25 percent to 15,438 points for the leading German index. The record high of 15,501 points reached three weeks ago is within reach. The EuroStoxx is also expected to be solid on Monday.
On Friday, after a disappointing US labor market report, investors’ fears of rising key interest rates decreased noticeably. This gave the DAX recovery another powerful boost. He was able to tick off the interim low since the end of March so quickly in the previous week, since then he has already gained almost four percent.
“The mood on the financial markets is robust and setbacks encourage a new entry,” commented the Helaba experts on the latest events. You now see the market ahead of a trend-setting week in view of the seasonality in May and the current reporting season with some Dax highs, especially on Wednesday.
On Monday, however, the reporting season will initially be in the small caps segment – including figures from Aurubis (Aurubis (ex Norddeutsche Affinerie)), Wacker Neuson (Wacker Neuson SE), Hypoport (Hypoport SE) and TAG Immobilien. There were particularly noticeable price gains of 2.4 percent and 1.2 percent respectively at Carl Zeiss Meditec and the Deutsche Pfandbriefbank (pbb).
In addition, the corona vaccine pioneer Biontech (BioNTech (ADRs)) reported on the first quarter, in which the vaccine marketed together with Pfizer was already inoculated internationally. Primarily, the shares here on Tradegate already rose strongly after it became known that the EU intends to purchase up to 1.8 billion more cans in the coming years.
Borussia Dortmund (BVB (Borussia Dortmund)) shares might also be worth a look after the Revierclub won a place to qualify for the lucrative Champions League at the weekend. Primarily, the shares of the soccer Bundesliga club increased by more than four percent. Above 6 euros a high would beckon them this year./tih/jha/
