FRANKFURT (Dow Jones) – The Spanish energy company Iberdrola earned more last year despite the Covid 19 pandemic. For the current year, too, the Spaniards expect a profit increase. The shareholders should now receive a higher dividend than in the previous year. Iberdrola increased sales by 9 percent to 33.15 billion, net income increased to 3.61 from 3.47 billion euros.
For 2021, Iberdrola is forecasting a net profit of between 3.7 and 3.8 billion euros. When it comes to dividends, Iberdrola plans to distribute EUR 0.42 per share, which is 5 percent more than in the previous year.
