LUDWIGSHAFEN (dpa-AFX) – The operator of a sex cinema in Ludwigshafen, Rhineland-Palatinate, is allowed to let people from two households into its cinema halls without a minimum distance. The Neustadt Administrative Court announced on Thursday that the sex cinema is not a prostitution site because no sexual services are offered there (AZ 5 L 783 / 20.NW). According to the reasoning of the court, a sex cinema is to be regarded as a cinema if “predominantly or exclusively films” are shown there.
The court said that a minimum distance of 1.5 meters should also be maintained in cinemas. According to the current Rhineland-Palatinate Corona regulation, this “expressly does not apply” if up to ten people or any number of relatives from two households meet.
The court therefore granted an urgent application from the sex cinema operator. According to the notification of the administrative court, employees of the city of Ludwigshafen complained during a control that the visitors either had to come from the same household or were only allowed to be allowed into the halls individually. In the cinema, “during the showing of films in several individual cinema halls, there could also be sexual contacts / acts,” the court described./buz/DP/zb
