June 3 (UPI) — Sofia Vergara says her dog is “obsessed” with her husband, Joe Manganiello.
The 48-year-old actress appeared on Thursday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she discussed how her dog Bubbles prefers Manganiello over her.
Vergara said she adopted Bubbles to be her dog but that the pup instantly bonded with Manganiello instead.
“I don’t have a dog. It’s not mine,” Vergara said. “It’s like, I don’t even know why I live with them anymore.”
“She arrived, and completely ignored me, went straight to him,” she said of Bubbles. “She has taken everything that was mine … She has taken my husband. My bed … They sleep together, and I sleep there on the other side.”
Vergara said Bubbles will keep a lookout for Manganiello every time the actor leaves the house.
“It’s like she hates me. If he has to go away for work or something — a meeting — and she knows that she has to stay with me in the house. She knows she has to deal with me, but she won’t do eye contact. It’s always looking out,” the actress said.
“Every little noise, every little thing, the garage door — she cannot enjoy the time with me? No. It’s just I know I have to sit with you because you’re the other person in this house, but she hates me,” she added.
Vergara shared photos with Manganiello and Bubbles on Instagram in May. The pictures show Vergara posing with Manganiello as the actor holds their dog.
Vergara and Manganiello married in November 2015. Vergara has a son, Manolo, 29, with her ex-husband, Joe Gonzalez.
Vergara is known for playing Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on Modern Family, which ended in April 2020 after 11 seasons. She serves as a judge on the NBC reality competition America’s Got Talent.
