TikTok partners with Audius, a Streaming App that uses Ethereum. Artists can now easily share their songs from the decentralized music service on the social video giant.
In particular, the Blockchain-based streaming service Audius has become the first music platform, allowing direct integration with the TikTok sound kit.
Specifically, artists can now upload a song and click ‘Share on TikTok’ to make their work available to the entire TikTok user community. And the whole process will take less than a minute.
In this regard, Audius Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer Forrest Browning said: “We are proud to be one of the first launch partners for TikTok Sounds. And to give Audius artists the opportunity to increase their exposure even further».
Similarly, Roneil Rumburg, the CEO of Audius said: «Artists who have content on Audius are able to upload it to TikTok with a single click».
Audius partners with TikTok!
According to a Rolling Stone interview with Forrest Browning, as part of the partnership, musicians will be able to share their work on Audios and TikTok. Which will allow other creators to use their tracks in videos and increase their reach on the platform.
«We have a great community. And we are happy to give you easy access to share your music on TikTok Sounds.».
Similarly, Audius has been chosen as one of the first TikTok partners for its Sounds Kit functionality, which allows songs to be transferred seamlessly to the video-centric application. Thanks to this feature, artists who post their songs on Audius can make them available to TikTok users. To be included in their videos, which can expose them to a very wide audience.
The new feature will immediately unlock access to audio content from the streaming service’s library of more than 100,000 artists. Including Skrillex, deadmau5, Weezer, Diplo, Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda, and Disclosure.
It must be made clear that the Audius music streaming service is not like SoundCloud or Spotify. It is a fully decentralized service built on a Blockchain network. Also, it is the first streaming service to partner with the popular social networking service TikTok so that artists can easily port their songs to the app.
Let’s get to know Audius better
For Better Understanding, founded in 2018, Audius is a fully decentralized consumer Blockchain app that allows artists to connect with fans to share exclusive monetized content. It claims to attract five million unique users every month.
In fact, in July Audius announced a partnership with the Solana Creator Fund. To attract new artists to your platform.
“Along with our efforts with Solana to support creators entering the space, the TikTok integration increases the funnel of potential creators.”
Like TikTok, Audius does not currently pay royalties to artists who use the platform to stream music. But, it offers a platform to interact with fans and find listeners.
In closing, Rumburg said: «The TikTok integration allows Audius artists to link their TikTok followers to Audius, and vice versa, helping them grow their following on both sides. Social following is often isolated, so artists are excited to be able to cross their fans across as many platforms as they can!»
I close with this phrase by Guy Lawrence: «A big step forward with this new feature».
