Hello Pal International Inc, a social network, causes the collapse of its website. Specifically, after he announced that he was going to mine cryptocurrencies.
According to an official statement released by Hello Pal last Thursday, the company’s website was forced in February to temporarily go offline amid a massive increase in online traffic.
The mining farm in question is reportedly the largest in the world, dedicated to DOGE and LTC mining, with a capacity of 70 megawatts. In addition, it houses more than 90,000 platforms.
Also, Hello Pal revealed that it had received more than half of the planned inventory of 12,500 mining rigs dedicated to DOGE and LTC mining.
Hello Pal announces that it will mine Dogecoin and its website collapses
In fact, the incident occurred shortly after he announced major investments in Dogecoin (DOGE) and Litecoin (LTC) mining.
By then, Hello Pal described acquiring a 15% stake in a Dogecoin and Litecoin mining facility exclusively.
Following the announcement, Hello Pal said that its website traffic increased by more than 1000%, exceeding its capacity. As a consequence, this increased activity was enough to temporarily block the site.
As a fun fact, Hello Pal’s streaming services and app service also saw similar increases in online visits. But, they did not suffer any interruptions during the period.
According to the statement, the website interruption was resolved. And, appropriate adjustments were made to server capacity to reduce the possibility of similar outages in the future.
What was your CEO’s opinion?
It should be noted that KL Wong, founder of Hello Pal, indicated that the increase in traffic that caused the website to be blocked was a positive development, stating:
«The sharp increase in activity on our website and the Hello Pal app confirms the clear position we have taken regarding Dogecoin. As well as cryptocurrencies in general».
In particular, Hello Pal’s Dogecoin and Litecoin mining investment also constitutes an expansion of his company related to cryptocurrencies. The Canadian company already offers a cryptocurrency wallet service for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and other cryptocurrencies.
